Today I have finished a little sampler "My Heart Is True" by Gail Bussi, Kreinik. It is from "Remember The Ladies" series.
This phrase was borrowed by the designer from Abigail Adams' letter to her husband as the men were busy drafting the new constitution. The phrase also reminds us of the needleworkers of our past. We remember the ladies who stitched before us, from young girls stitching samplers as lessons to ladies making linen for their homes and families.
Such a small sampler and so meaningful.... You can easily understand why I chose the design in February.
This is my first work in silk (Silk Mori), and for the first time I made the whole work one over one. The colors are so soft here and I also like the sheen of the silk, it was pleasure to stitch the sampler. Have a look at the pictures:
Tomorrow I will try to make it into a pin cushion or something else.
Take care.

Olga, this is very pretty!
I love the colours very much (as I love PINK!)
Are you going to make a pincushion with this?
Wow am so looking forward to seeing the finished one!
And thank you so much for inviting me a cup of tea! lol
If we were close, we could do that in person, though... sigh...
Beaiutiful!!! Love the colors and love the saying!!!
Oh, very nice indeed. I bet it'll look even more gorgeous as a pincushion.
